In 2019 I had the opportunity to work on several environment assets for Daedalic Entertainment's released Real-Time Strategy game "A Year Of Rain".
The task was to design and create a modular asset kit to create a multitude of skeletons and bone piles.
The asset kit wasn't really meant to recreate full characters, and you can see that if you look close enough.
I wanted to see how far I can get with as little assets as possible, given the limited time I had to work on this piece.
It was a fun exercise to create full ribcages and limbs from just two or three different meshes,
Prototype meshes where created in zBrush, models where made in 3dsMax, and textures where created in Substance Painter/Photoshop.
Due to the art style, all textures are diffuse/albedo-only hand painted.
All assets share the same 1024x1024 albedo texture.
